Hey there, it’s nice to meet you!

One thing you should know about me is that I am an old soul. I love all things vintage and I often feel as though I were born in the wrong decade. A perfect Saturday for me (if I’m not shooting) would be visiting a local antique shop, getting coffee with my husband, or binge watching “The Office” or “FRIENDS”. Along with my film camera collection, I’ve been growing my vinyl record collection since I was 16 years old and music is an immense passion of mine.. One that influences much of my art and my life. I love romantic comedy’s and feel-good movies. I love dabbling in watercoloring and cooking in the kitchen. I have a huge love for all animals and my basset hound rules my household and is our pride and joy. Family (and the friends you make your family) are the most important treasures in this life, and I thank God for mine everyday. My goal is for my images to stand the test of time, and capture that authentic and timeless look that you feel when looking through your old family photos. For me, my process is routed in my love of film. I pride myself in being both a film and digital photographer, and I match my digital images to replicate the feel of film. I love all aspects of film and will forever encourage my couples and clients to try adding it to their session, because it truly is magic. It’s hard to articulate it until you see it for yourself and compare it with digital, but to name a few- I love the unpredictability of it, the grain, the colors… I could go on. Digital obviously has its place in our industry especially for weddings- because I will always make sure that those big moments are securely captured. But just know if you are contemplating adding it to your session- this is your sign that you absolutely should. At the end of the day, I am the person capturing some of your life’s most precious moments and I do not take that for granted. I am there to be the calming presence in the room on your wedding day, to step in and give direction when needed, and to grow with you and your family by capturing your legacy for generations to come. Lifelong clients turned friends is my end goal. If any of my words have resonated with you, we may be a good fit for your session and I’d love to get to know you!

xoxo, Kendall

Education-

I am very proud to have graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Commercial Photography and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Boone, NC will forever hold a special place in my heart as the first place I ever moved from home, the place where I met my husband, and the place where I began my lifelong passion of photography. As photographers and creators, we are always evolving and growing. I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to study photography at such an amazing institution and to cary all of the tools I gathered during my time there into my business for years to come.
